Facing the Saguaros in Surprise on Monday the Solar Sox dropped yet another game, this one 7 - 2. Mesa actually matched the Saguaros with 7 hits, with two of them coming from 2nd baseman Rafael Ynoa who was the only Dodger representative in the lineup. The pair of base knocks tied Ynoa for the team lead in both batting average (.333) and OPS (.937), and he also ranks second on the club with 4 stolen bases. Aaron Westlake (Tigers) had the only extra base for Mesa with a double.

Solar Sox starter Dae-Eun Rhee (Cubs) allowed 3 runs in the first 3 innings, and from there the game was basically over. Red Patterson was the lone Dodger pitcher to throw on Monday, and the good news is that he pitched a scoreless frame. He allowed one single, but subsequently picked the runner off and then picked up a strikeout later in the inning.

According to Gameday, Patterson's fastball was in the low 90's, topping out at 93 mph. All his other pitchers were sliders in the low 80's, save for one pitch that was categorized as a changeup that was clocked at 82 mph.

Coming up: Andres Santiago, coming off 5 innings of 1-hit ball, will take the ball for Mesa and try and get his team on the winning track. He'll be opposed Zeke Spruill (Braves) who will be on the mound for the Phoenix Desert Dogs
