Dodgers announce 2013 promotional schedule

The Dodgers on Friday announced their 2013 promotional schedule, which includes the return of an old timers game to Dodger Stadium, and that doesn't refer just to the 14 players 30 or older already signed for next season.

The Dodgers will have an old timers game against Yankees legends on Saturday, June 8. The weird thing is that it is before a game against the Braves, but since the Yankees come to Dodger Stadium midweek (Tuesday and Wednesday, July 30-31) it wouldn't make much sense to hold the old timers game then.

The Dodgers will again give away 10 bobbleheads next year, including one of Vin Scully on July 25 against the Reds. Others will feature Rick Monday saving the flag (Aug. 27), Sandy Koufax (June 27), Hanley Ramirez "I See You" (Apr. 30), Matt Kemp (May 14), Jaime Jarrin (May 25), Adrian Gonzalez (July 11), and Magic Johnson (Sept. 12). The remaining two bobbleheads will be announced at a later date, and will be given out June 6 and Aug. 10.

Jackie Robinson Night, on Monday, Apr. 15 against the Padres, the Dodgers will give out a statue of Robinson, Don Newcombe, and Roy Campanella.

Other items include a hooded sweatshirt giveaway on Apr. 3 against the Giants, Hello Kitty fleece blanket on Apr. 17, Hello Kitty mini-bobblehead on Sept. 9, a beach chair on June 11, beach towel on June 25, kid's batting helmet on Apr. 28, and a sleeved blanket on Sept. 28.
