The latest installment in our spring training stadium tour takes us to Goodyear Ballpark, which opened in the same year as Camelback Ranch, in 2009. Of the 10 Cactus League stadiums, Goodyear is the farthest west, slightly edging Surprise Stadium. Goodyear is also the second furthest south, with only Tempe Diablo Stadium closer to the Mexican border. Goodyear Ballpark is roughly 13 miles from Camelback Ranch.
The home of the Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Indians has a seating capacity of 10,311, with tickets ranging from $8 to $35. Suites, which come with 15 tickets, can be had for $750.
Just outside the home plate entrance there is a ticket window to the left...
...and a gift shop to the right...
Or you could enter through a few other entrances, like on the first base side.
Before you enter, be sure to note the rules and regulations of the park.
There is a lot of cool memorabilia of both the Reds...
and Indians..
Here is the view from behind home plate.
This is the view of the wide open concourses
There is plenty of space down the lines to sit down at a bench and enjoy some food while at the game...
...or you could sidle up to one of the many sort of belly bars up and down each line, a place to stand and set your food or drink with a great view of the game.
There are a multitude of concession options. You don't even need a passport to visit Hot Dog Nation.
Perhaps the only bad thing about the park, and it isn't really that bad, as that Tamales Mexican Food sells no tamales.
Pizziola's sells a pretty good pizza.
You have to wash the food down with something, right?
There is also a team store in the park...
...and a kids section down the right field line.
There are good sight lines throughout the park...
...and grass seating in both left field...
...and right field...
Here is the left field scoreboard...
...and the view from behind that scoreboard.
There is a section in the right field pavilion for group events and parties setup with tables and chairs...
...with a nice view as well.
The players enter from right center field, with the visiting clubhouse beyond the right field wall.
Both bullpens are in left field, with the Indians occupying the one closest to the foul pole, and the Reds taking the other one, with their opponent taking the empty one.
The Reds use the thrd base dugout, while the Indians use the first base dugout. Here is a shot of the Dodgers third base dugout against Cleveland on Monday.
Here are the suites on the second level behind home plate...
...along with the press box...
...and the view from inside the press box:
