The next installment in our tour of Cactus League ballparks brings us to the subset of northern Phoenix known as Maryvale. The Milwaukee Brewers call Maryvale Baseball Park home, as they have done since 1998. Maryvale is fairly central among the 10 Cactus League stadiums, and the closest to Camelback Ranch at just eight miles away:
Tickets range from $8 to $22, and the stadium holds 7,000, plus lawn seating.
Other Tours: Phoenix | Surprise | Peoria | Tempe | Goodyear
Here is the ticket window, located just outside the third base entrance to the park.
There are concourses on both sides of the park...
...that continue into a sidewalk around the outfield, which yields this view from right field.
Here is the grass seating in the right field corner...
Which is right near the home bullpen.
Here is the left field scoreboard (My apologies for the blurriness of this picture; this was the only picture I took of the scoreboard)
The press box is in the middle of the suites behind home plate.
You can purchase Milwaukee gear at the Brewers Team Store.
Or if you are hungry, here is a standard concession stand.
You can also eat from Bill Johnson's Big Apple, a restaurant chain that provided a mini-True Blue LA breakfast on March 18 with Maddz, Gary, Craig, Dave, and me.
You can also wash it all down with beer that tastes like Fruity Pebbles.
