Today's Dodgers game against the Oakland Athletics is at Phoenix Municipal Stadium, one of 10 Cactus League facilities. It is located in the eastern part of Phoenix, just south of Scottsdale and north of Tempe. The stadium is about 25 miles from Camelback Ranch. The A's have played their spring games here for 31 years.
Tickets range from $12 to $25, and they have suites available (22 maximum for an indoor suite, or 50 maximum for an outdoor suite) at $30 per person.
Parking is $5, and the lot is across the street from the stadium. You need to take a walkway over the street to get to the stadium. Here are a couple of Dodgers fans walking in today with a nice view of the stadium.
The entrance...
As part of the Ferguson Jenkins Foundation, former A's stars Bert Campaneris and Rollie Fingers were signing autographs today to help raise money for local youth programs. Here is Campaneris:
There is a speed gun behind the stands on the first base side.
There are pretty standard concession stands here, with a few portable carts, one selling nachos and quesadillas, and another with pork or chicken with fried rice or noodles.
Down the left field line there is also a beer garden
But before you get to the beer garden there is something called Sub Zero Ice Cream
Here is the view from the right field line...
...and from the left field line.
The stadium holds 7,897 people, and there were 3,583 in attendance today.
