Chipper Turns 40

To maintain his career .400 OBP, Jones would need a .310 OBP in 300 plate appearances, a .333 OBP in 400 PA, or a .346 in 500 PA this season.

Atlanta Roster Move

To take the place of Jair Jurrjens, who was optioned to Triple A after losing Monday's game, the Braves have recalled right-handed pitcher Cory Gearrin from Triple A Gwinnett. Gearrin, 26, was 1-0 in seven scoreless appearances in Triple A, with two walks and 15 strikeouts in 12 innings.
