Matt Kemp's home run on Wednesday against the Braves made him the fastest to 10 home runs in Dodgers franchise history. Kemp needed just 19 team games to reach double figures, beating Roy Campanella (1953) by two games. There have been nine players in Dodgers history to hit 10 home runs by game number 30:

Hodges hit two home runs in that 26th game in 1951 to give him 11 on the season at that point. Hodges is the fastest Dodger to 20 home runs, needing 53 team games that same season.

Tonight's Pitching Matchup
The teams with the two best records in the National League face off tonight at Dodger Stadium, as the Nationals (14-5) come to town to face the Dodgers (13-6). Clayton Kershaw gets the start for the Dodgers, with five days rest after striking out nine in seven scoreless innings in Houston on Saturday.
Kershaw's ERA is 1.61, which is more than a run worse than Ross Detwiler, who will start for the Nationals. Detwiler has allowed one earned run in three starts though it should be noted he has also allowed four unearned runs, and those count too. But the Nationals starting staff has been superb thus far this season, with three home runs allowed in 117 1/3 innings, with 25 walks and 109 strikeouts and a 1.61 ERA.
