Updates

Ted Lilly was put on the disabled list with shoulder inflammation. The last time he went on the disabled list for this was in July 2009, he was out for a little over 3 weeks and then returned to start 8 games and pitch 53 innings for the Cubs. Michael Antonini has been brought up from AAA to "cover" the roster spot today. He will be the designated long man.

Mattingly was not ready to name tomorrow's starter against the Brewers. He did add that "since he is not in the building I shouldn't talk about who is starting tomorrow."

The Dodgers found out Lilly had a problem after his start in Arizona. Mattingly said today that trainer Sue Falsone said that Lilly should be throwing by the end of this home stand. Lilly said that the last time this happened was in 2009, in checking, he was put on disabled list on July 25, 2009 and he came back on August 17th. He also had one rehab start prior to coming back.

Mattingly thought Dee's dive for the ground ball that never game was "awesome."

Matt Kemp continued to "rehab" in AAA, today he hit his second home run in as many games he was 5 for 7 as of this writing and he is on track to return to Dodger Stadium tomorrow. Juan Rivera will also return, Mattingly said it would be up to him to decide if he needed some more games at Rancho Cucamonga but Mattingly expects him back by the time they go on the road.
