Maybe Don Mattingly will stick around to see the end of Thursday's game.

The Dodgers go for a split of their four-game series against the Cardinals with a morning game on getaway day in St. Louis, in their 100th game of the season.

Chris Capuano looks for his 11th win of the season, and looks to continue his run of great control. Capuano has issued one walk or less in six of his last seven starts, and during that span has seven walks and 44 strikeouts in 46 2/3 innings.

Jake Westbrook starts for the Cardinals, looking for his ninth consecutive start of six innings or more, including at least seven innings in his last two starts.

The Cardinals starters as a whole have pitching deep into games of late, as their starters have pitched at least six innings for each of the last 20 games.

Starting Lineups

Tony Gwynn Jr. starts for just the third time since the All-Star break, though he has played in all 12 games since Matt Kemp and Andre Ethier returned from the disabled list. Gwynn leads the Dodgers with 95 games played.
