I have always been a fan of Chicago, the band that is, here they are singing their hit "Saturday in the Park."

Notes

  • Joe Blanton era has begun with his arrival today. He will start the finale against the Cubs tomorrow, Chris Capuano, Aaron Harang and Chad Billingsley will be the starters against the Rockies.
  • Jeff Baker has been successful against Kershaw in the past with a 1.144 OPS in 12 plate appearances, Baker has had twice as many plate appearances against lefties vs right handers this season (94 to 47)
  • Kenley Jansen has pitched once in the last week.
  • Shawn Tolleson has been effective against right handers (2 hits in 29 at bats), left handed batters are hitting .310 with at 1.065 OPS in 29 at bats, however almost all of the damage done against Shawn was by the Mets. He has allowed no runs to every other National League opponent (the Mariners scored the other run against Shawn).
