Alex Castellanos is back with the Dodgers for a third time this season.

The Dodgers added to their roster before Friday's game against the Giants, plucking Alex Castellanos from Triple A Albuquerque.

In his first full season in the Dodgers system, Castellanos hit .328/.420/.590 with 49 extra-base hits in 94 games with the Isotopes. He has played 50 games at second base this season and 34 games at third base. Although Castellanos, in a 2-for-26 slump, did not start either of the first two games of Albuquerque's first round playoff series against Omaha, he walked as a pinch hitter on Wednesday in Game 1.

Castellanos was 3-for-22 in his brief time in Los Angeles, including a brief one-game stint getting called up on Aug. 24, one day before the Dodgers completed their blockbuster nine-player trade with the Red Sox. He was sent back to Triple A on Aug. 25. He has played exclusively outfield in his time with the Dodgers.

Starting Lineups

Adam Kennedy, with eight hits in 21 career at-bats (.381) in his career against Tim Lincecum, gets the spot start at third base in place of Luis Cruz.
