LOS ANGELES -- Tommy Lasorda will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before Game 4 of the National League Championship Series, but that's not the only game of the day in MLB. The playoffs are in full force on both Tuesday and Wednesday, with the ALCS in Detroit and the NLCS in Los Angeles. Here is a quick look at Tuesday's schedule:

ALCS Game 3

1:07 p.m. PT, Fox

Tigers starting pitching dominated the first two games at Fenway Park, but Detroit returns home for Game 3 on Tuesday afternoon tied at 1-1 thanks to a furious Red Sox comeback in Game 2. Justin Verlander starts for the Tigers, with an active 28-inning scoreless streak dating back to Sept. 18. In those 28 innings, Verlander has allowed 15 hits and six walks, with 45 strikeouts. John Lackey starts for Boston.

NLCS Game 4

5:07 p.m., TBS

The Dodgers look to even the series in Game 4, with Ricky Nolasco apparently taking the hill. Lance Lynn, who picked up the win in Game 1 with two scoreless innings of relief, starts for the Cardinals. The Dodgers are apparently superstitious as Jeffrey Osborne, who sang the national anthem on Monday before Game 3, is back to sing again on Tuesday night.

If you are headed to the game, a reminder that Dodger Stadium parking lot and stadium gates will open at 2 p.m.
