The Desert Dogs continued the hot start to their season on Thursday as they blanked the Rafters 6 to 0. The Glendale pitching staff only allowed 4 hits in this game, and none of them were given up by starter Stephen McCray (White Sox) who tossed 4 perfect frames. Five different relievers threw an inning each to complete the shutout victory, and the only one of note was Dodger prospect Pedro Baez who fired this third scoreless inning of the young season.

Despite a pair of strikeouts, the offense player of this game was clearly Corey Seager as he went 2 for 4 with a double and a pair of RBI's. His performance doubled both his RBI total and extra base total for the season, and the youngest player in the league is now hitting a respectable .278.. A couple of other Dodger farmhands also played in this game as Brian Cavazos-Galvez was the right fielder and Chris O'Brien was the catcher, but they went a combined 0 for 7. O'Brien did drive in a run, however, with a sacrifice fly.
