A big 3rd inning by the Javelinas was enough to take down the Desert Dogs 7 to 5 on Wednesday. Peoria DH Stephan Romero (Mariners) played a big part in the win as it was his 3-run homer in the 3rd that put his team ahead for good. Romero also had a RBI double later in the contest, while Chris Talyor actually actually led off the game with a home run.
The Desert Dog offense was relatively quiet in the loss, and the two Dodgers in the lineup combined to go 0 for 8. After hitting a homer on Tuesday Corey Seager went 0 for 4 with a pair of K's, while Brian Cavazos-Galvez had the exact same stat line and saw his average fall to .143 over the last 10 games.
Glendale starter Stephen McCray had his first poor outing of the AFL season as he allowed a pair of bombs and 5 of the 7 runs in just 3 innings of work, however he was only charged with 1 earned run thanks to a pair of errors (one by him). A few innings later Yimi Garcia got into the game, but for the second outing in a row he allowed a run after giving up a single and the aforementioned double to Romero.

Coming up: Glendale will face the Javelinas again on Halloween, with Jamie Walczak (Reds) taking on Kyle Hunter (Mariners)
