The Desert Dogs scored the first two runs of the game on Friday, but were never heard from again as Glendale fell to the Rafters 6 to 2. The two early runs were the result of a trio of free passes that were handed to Glendale, followed by a two-run single by Danny Black (Marlins) who finished the game 3 for 4. The rest of the club was very quiet as they managed just 5 more hits, with none of them going for extra bases. Dodger prospects Brian Cavazos-Galvez and Pratt Maynard were both in the lineup, but they combined to go 0 for 7.
No Dodgers threw in this game, and it's a good thing because most of the Glendale hurlers were not very successful. Starter Michael Lorenzen (Reds) couldn't get out of the 2nd inning after walking 4, while reliever A.J. Achter (Twins) gave up 4 runs while recording just 2 outs. Charlie Leesman (White Sox) gave up the final run of the contest while Colby Suggs (Marlins) and Drew Hayes (Reds) tossed a scoreless frame each.
