LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers on Wednesday added three pitchers to their 40-man roster, but in other roster news also confirmed the signing of four players to minor league contracts for the 2014 season. Left-handed pitcher Daniel Moskos, catcher J.C Boscan, infielder Brendan Harris and first baseman Clint Robinson all signed with the Dodgers and received invitations to big league camp in spring training 2014.

These minor league deals have happened over the last few weeks, and that is the nature of minor league transactions. The news is a bit under the radar, but will trickle in all winter, including right up to the start of spring training in February.

We'll keep track of these in a special section on the site, including a single post listing all the non-roster invitees in one spot, with details including their eventual cut date, or if and when one or two make the team.

Each year there is usually somewhere around 20 NRIs at the start of big league camp, so expect many more minor league signings to come over the next few months. Here's a look at the first four non-roster invitees that we know of for 2014.

Moskos was a first-round pick, fourth overall, of the Pirates in 2007, and put up a 2.96 ERA in 31 games in his only major league stint, in 2011 with Pittsburgh. The southpaw was claimed off waivers by the White Sox in July 2012 and has spent most of the last four seasons in Triple-A. Moskos was 2-1 with a 4.97 ERA in 22 games for Triple-A Charlotte in 2013, with 28 strikeouts and 15 walks in 29 innings before ending the season with the EDA Rhinos in Taiwan.

Moskos turns 28 in April.

Harris has the most major league experience of the group, with 529 games over eight seasons. He hit .206/.252/.355 in 44 games and 117 plate appearances with the Angels in 2013, his first MLB action in three years. Harris, 33, also spent time in the Rangers and Yankees' systems in 2013, hitting .237/.360/.342 with three home runs in 136 plate appearances in Triple-A. He has played all over the infield in his career, mostly shortstop, third base, and second base.

More from MLB Daily Dish: Clint Robinson Brendan Harris

Robinson turns 29 in February and after two seasons in Triple-A Omaha in the Royals system he played the first three months of 2013 in Double-A New Hampshire in the Blue Jays system. The lefty first baseman hit .254/.353/.421 with 13 home runs and 23 doubles in 111 games combined between Double-A and Triple-A. Robinson was in big league camp with the Pirates in 2012, on the 40-man roster after a trade from the Royals, but was claimed off waivers by Toronto at the end of March.

Robinson got a cup of coffee with the Royals in 2012, going 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in four games, all as a pinch hitter. He has yet to use a glove in a major league game.

Boscan, who turns 34 the day after Christmas, has amassed 30 plate appearances in 17 games in cups of coffee over each of the last four seasons, a reward for spending 17 seasons in the minor leagues. The Venezuelan native hit .232/.297/.270 with nine doubles in 74 games with Triple-A Iowa in the Cubs' system in 2013, and was 2-for-9 in September with the Cubs including a double on Sept. 28 for his first major league extra-base hit.
