Dee Gordon only played in 38 games for the Dodgers but due to injuries, he was added to the playoff roster as a potential pinch runner.
What went right
During Gordon's second call up in August after Hanley Ramirez was injured in Chicago, Gordon played in six games, the Dodgers won all of them, Gordon hit .357/.400/.357 during that run. Overall the second half was much better for Gordon, he hit .355/.394/.387 in August and September in limited appearances.
What went wrong
As noted above, the Dodgers won all six games he played in August but those games were not always gems for Gordon, on the ESPN Sunday Night Game series finale against the Tampa Bay Rays, Gordon committed three errors and he would only start once in September until after the Dodgers clinched the NL West.
Dee Gordon was inserted once in each of the playoff series the Dodgers played in, he was thrown out attempting to steal in Game 2 of the NLDS and in Game 1 of the NLCS against the St. Louis Cardinals, Dee Gordon replaced Adrian Gonzalez in the 8th inning but didn't attempt to steal. The Dodgers would not score and go on to lose the game in extra-innings.
2014 status
Gordon is still 1-2 years away from arbitration eligibility depending on how much he plays in 2014, Gordon has one option left.
