Wednesday marks the first official workouts for Dodgers pitchers and catchers at Camelback Ranch. At this point during spring training, a full 47 days before opening day and 10 days before their first spring game, pitchers aren't throwing at anywhere close to full arm strength.
For the early part here at Camelback Ranch, pitchers will throw every other day, in addition to the regular workout drills done each morning by everyone.
There are 29 pitchers in big league cap, with only Scott Elbert sidelined after his elbow surgery. The other 28 pitchers will throw in groups of seven for at least the next four days.
Scheduled to throw Wednesday and Friday are Clayton Kershaw, Josh Beckett, Chris Capuano, Chad Billingsley, Stephen Fife, Matt Magill, Matt Guerrier, Javy Guerra, Shawn Tolleson, Paco Rodriguez, Kelvin De La Cruz, Chris Withrow, Gregory Infante, and Mark Lowe.
Scheduled to throw Thursday and Saturday are Ted Lilly, Zack Greinke, Aaron Harang, Hyun-jin Ryu, Matt Palmer, Kenley Jansen, Brandon League, Ronald Belisario, J.P. Howell, Josh Wall, Steven Ames, Peter Moylan, Juan Abreu, and Kevin Gregg.
