No Greinke but Ethier, Gordon and youngsters highlight day

Adrian Gonzalez, Luis Cruz and Javy Guerra were at Camelback as visitors as they played for Team Mexico against the Dodgers. Zack Greinke could not start due to illness but Dee's speed sparked a 3-run first, highlighted by Andre Ethier's first home run, a 2-run shot off Mexico's left-handed starter

Zack Greinke couldn't make his third start of the Spring as he was too ill to suit up. So Stephen Fife stayed back and he started against Team Mexico.

Dee Gordon went 2 for 2, with a leg double, 2 runs scored, 2 stolen bases and a RBI. He also made the plays in the field. Corey Seager came in the top of the 4th for Gordon.

Andre Ethier hit a first pitch two run home run off Dany Rodriguez, a left-handed pitcher who started the game for Team Mexico that gave the Dodgers the early lead.

Matt Kemp played his second straight game in the field and it appeared to go well.

After Fife pitched, League, Jansen and Howell all pitched a scoreless inning, Jansen striking out 2 in his appearance.

Zach Lee came in to pitch the 8th, gave up a solid double to left and then a mishandled grounder to third that was ruled a single; he got the next batter to hit into the 5-4-3 double play. Fellow first-round pick, Seager couldn't handle a sharp grounder right to his glove and he got the error that gave up a run. He got the next batter to fly out to end the inning.

In the bottom of the 8th, minor leaguers, prospects amongst them, teed off to score 5 runs in the bottom of the 8th.

Lee returned to pitch the 9th inning, struck out one, but held the team scoreless.

The Dodgers won 10-2 but lost the battle of who played the faster game in the split squads today
