2013 Dodgers opening day payroll tops $239 million

The Dodgers have $40.5 million committed to four players on the disabled list, more than triple the amount as last year.

The Dodgers 2013 opening day payroll is in a whole new stratosphere, more than double the $114 million on opening day last year. This includes actual money paid out this year to the 25 players on the active roster, any players on the disabled list, and any "dead money," which are deferred payments or buyouts to players no longer here.

The Dodgers have $225,804,500 committed to the 25 players on their opening day roster and four on the disabled list. In addition, they have nearly $20 million in dead money and 'other,' which includes Yasiel Puig and Tony Gwynn Jr., both of whom are getting paid while not on the active roster. Here are the 2013 salary commitments for the Dodgers:
