Dodgers prospect Yasiel Puig was arrested early Sunday morning in Hamilton County, Tennessee. The 22-year-old was charged with speeding, reckless driving, and financial responsibility (the latter charge basically is lack of insurance), and was released Sunday morning.

"We're aware of the situation and we take it very seriously," said a Dodgers spokesman. "We'll be handling discipline internally."

Puig is hitting .333/.385/.625 with three home runs and two stolen bases in 13 games for Double-A Chattanooga this season, but is currently on the disabled list with a sprained thumb.

Puig, who was signed out of Cuba to a seven-year, $42 million contract last June, wowed the Dodgers during spring training by hitting .517 (30-for-58). He went from someone not really on the radar in terms of major league readiness to one of the final cuts of spring training, as he was optioned to Double-A Chattanooga on Mar. 26.

The Lookouts' game on Sunday against Jackson was rained out. They will play a doubleheader on Monday.
