Minor League Player of the DayTim Federowicz (AAA) - 3 for 4, 2 2B's, Walk-off Homer, 4 RBI's. FedEx wins this award for the second day in a row thanks to another huge performance at the plate. Over the last few days he has basically taken Scott Van Slyke's spot as the hottest hitter in the Pacific Coast League.

AAA – The Redbirds decided to pitch to the red hot Tim Federowicz in the 10th, and that is a mistake they are going to have to live with as FedEx crushed a walk-off 2-run homer to give Albuquerque a 6 - 4 win over Memphis (Cardinals). For Tim it was his 3rd extra base hit of the night as he also doubled twice, and his 4 RBI's give him 8 over the last two games. He was basically a one man wrecking crew because outside of a solo homer by Elian Herrera, there weren't really any other offensive highlights. On the mound Chris Capuano was solid in his rehab start as he gave just 2 runs over 5.1 frames despite allowed 8 batters to reach base. Eric had more on his outing here. Anthony Ortega struggled in relief as he permitted a pair of runs to score, but Peter Moylan had his best outing of the season with 3 K's over 2 shutout innings of 1-hit ball.

AA – The Chattanooga bats were silent on Wednesday as the Lookouts were shutout by the Barons (White Sox) 2 to 0. The offense only had 3 hits in this game, one of them being a double by C.J. Retherford and another being a single by Joc Pederson. Everyone else was quiet, including Yasiel Puig who went 0 for 3. Starter Zach Lee threw another solid game but simply didn't get any support as he allowed just 2 runs over 5.2 frames. He did give up 7 hits and struck out only 2, but he also issued just one walk. Jose Dominguez returned from his 25 game suspension to throw 1.1 perfect frames out of the pen, and Luis Vasquez continued the strong start to his season with 2 K's in his spotless inning of work.

HiA The Ports (A's) scored 2 runs in the 1st inning, and that was all they needed to defeat the Quakes 2 to 1. Both runs were unearned and Stockton actually only had 3 hits in this game thanks to an outstanding outing by starter Jarret Martin. The left hander gave up 2 hits and just the 2 unearned runs while striking out 8 over 6 frames. He also didn't walk a batter, but still picked up his 5 loss in his 5th start. Freddie Cabrera and Daniel Coulombe were also solid in relief with a shutout inning each. The Rancho offense didn't do much themselves as Scott Schebler's 2 for 2 night with a double and a stolen base was the only highlight.

LoA – The Loons were the other minor league team to win by a walk-off on Wednesday, although their 3 - 2 win over the Snappers (A's) came on a walk-off wild pitch. With one out in the bottom of the 10th Jesmuel Valentin struck out, but he ended up at first after the pitch was missed by the catcher. Malcolm Holland followed with a single and then James Baldwin walked, and with Eric Smith batting the Beloit pitcher uncorked a wild pitch that allowed Valentin to score. Prior to the 10th the only other notable offensive highlight came in the 7th when Corey Seager singled, stole 2nd, then stole 3rd. On the mound Miguel Sulbaran had a line that was eerily similar to Zach Lee's and Chris Capuano's as he also allowed 7 hits and 2 runs over 5 frames. Zach Bird had a light day of throwing as he tossed just one shutout frame, while Jonathan Martinez got a little more work in with 4 K's over 3 shutout innings.

Coming up The Lookouts will highlight Thursday's action as Chris Reed will be on the mound, while the Quakes will send Duke von Schamann to the rubber. Sean While will throw for the Isotopes, and the Loons starter is TBD.

Minor League Transactions – AA: Jose Dominguez has served his 25 game suspension and has been activated by the Lookouts, but the bad news is that Onelki Garcia has been placed on the DL.
