Despite Matt Magill's valiant effort in Atlanta, the youngster got sent down to Triple-A Albuquerque in favor of savvy veteran Ted Lilly. The Dodgers haven't sent Lilly to the bump since April 29, but he'll get the call on Saturday at home against the St. Louis Cardinals., per Ken Gurnick of MLB.com.

To date, Lilly only appeared in two games, while sporting a 0-1 record and a 5.63 ERA. A shoulder injury limited Lilly to eight starts in 2012 then required surgery.

Like the Dodgers, the Cardinals aren't using Thursday's off day to shuffle their rotations, per Jennifer Langosch at MLB.com. That lines up perennial Cy-Young candidate Clayton Kershaw will square off against rookie phenomenon Shelby Miller on Sunday night at Dodger Stadium.

Tim Brown at Yahoo! Sports supported Don Mattingly, asking if the Dodgers are too soft to save their manager's job.

Paul Lukas at Uni Watch reported that all MLB teams will wear camouflage caps and jerseys on Memorial Day Monday.
