Dodgers links: Hanley Ramirez returning to action

Hanley Ramirez has been injured almost the entire season, yet is finally ready to play.


Dodgers shortstop Hanley Ramirez went down with a hamstring strain on May 3rd, but a return to the diamond could happen by early next week. Ramirez will begin his rehab stint Friday in Bakersfield per the Los Angeles Times Steve Dilbeck, although that's two days later than expected after experiencing a minor setback Wednesday. In Ramirez's four games and 11 plate appearances to date, he sports a .455/.500/909 slash line.

Speaking of the future, the MLB draft begins June 6. The Dodgers own the 18th overall selection, and ESPN's Keith Law seems very confident the pitching staff is going to be addressed per his latest mock draft. (Insider code necessary)
