Carl Crawford hasn't stared for the Dodgers since June 1, yet he returns to the regular lineup card Saturday and leads off. Despite wincing after a great diving catch Friday, Crawford appears to be fine and ready to go. Crawford comes into the game batting .296 with five home runs and 13 RBI.
As expected, Matt Kemp will not be playing due to receiving a cortisone shot in his shoulder. Kemp was beginning to finally show signs of life at the dish, hitting two home runs and driving in four RBI over the last two contests. Don Mattingly doesn't expect Kemp to miss more than a couple days.
Juan Uribe moves up to the five spot after an impressive seven RBI performance. Meanwhile, Andre Ethier slides down to sixth because of the left-handed pitching Madison Bumgarner. Second baseman Mark Ellis and catcher A.J. Ellis have scheduled days off, therefore Nick Punto and Tim Federowicz fill in.
