Minor League Player of the DayJustin Sellers (AAA) - 4 for 4, 1 HR, 2 2B's, 4 RBI's, 3 Runs.  My apologies to Anderson, but Sellers had the slightly better day in my option to capture this award.  The big game boosted Justin's average to .305, and at home he has a 1.029 OPS (compared to .680 on the road).

AAA – The Isotopes had a big offense outburst for the second day in a row, this time resulting in a 13 - 2 win over the Bees (Angels) Justin Sellers and Brian Barden did most of the damage in this game as they combined for 4 doubles, 2 homers, and 8 RBI's.  Sellers had the better game of the two as he was a perfect 4 for 4, while Nick Buss also had a solid contest as he went 3 for 5 with a two-bagger of his own.  On the mound Angel Castro was excellent as he struck out 9 over 7 innings and allowed just 1 run on 5 hits.  Onelki Garcia then tossed a shutout inning in his AAA debut.

LoA – 2013 1st round pick Chris Anderson continued to excel in his professional debut as he led the Loons to a 3 - 1 victory over the Lugnuts (Blue Jays).  In what was probably his best outing to date, Anderson allowed just 2 hits and 1 walk over 5 shutout innings while striking out a career high 7 batters.  Chris lowered his ERA to 1.75 in the win, and has a .205 batting average against for the season.  Four different relievers combined to finish out the win, including Owen Jones who picked up his 2nd save with 1.1 hitless innings.  At the dish there wasn't too much action as James Baldwin's double was Great Lakes only extra base hit, while Kevin Taylor recorded the only RBI.

Rookie Ogden – Off day

Rookie Arizona – The Arizona Dodgers faced an big early deficit, and despite a solid comeback attempt it was just too much to overcome in a 12 - 10 loss to the Padres.  Starter Abdiel Velasquez gave up 5 early runs in just 1.2 frames, then Pablo Gonzalez wasn't much better out of the pen as he allowed 5 more runs to score.  Billy Flamion and Lenix Osuna were the only two relievers to get through the game with out allowing any hits or runs.  At the plate Faustino Oguisten connected on a 2-run homer, while Blake Hennessey's triple and Melvin Santana's double rounded out the extra base hits in what was a rather mundane offense day for a team that scored 10 runs.

DSL – In a game that was suspended due to rain after 8 innings, the Dodgers held a slight 8 - 7 advantage over the Rays.  Starter Jairo Pacheco had a great outing as he allowed just 2 hits over 5 shutout innings, but Elou Jean and Luis Jimenez struggled out of the pen and gave up the majority of the runs.  On offense Michael Medina connected on his 9th homer and drove in 3 runs, while Ibandel Isabel was 3 for 5 with a pair of doubles and 2 RBI's.  Ariel Sandoval also contributed by going 3 for 4 with a RBI.

Coming upMatt Palmer and the Isotopes will take Dontrelle Willis and the Bees, while Garrett Gould will toe the rubber for the Lookouts.  Freddie Cabrera will throw for the Quakes and Luis De Paula will get the call for the Raptors.

Minor League Transactions – AAA: Catcher Eliezar Alfonzo, who signed with the Dodgers this past off-season but never joined them in spring training due to dengue fever, has joined the Isotopes.
