The Dodgers will attempt to win the series without using their big one two punch of Grienke / Kershaw, while the Red Sox come at them with their best shots.

John Lackey against Ricky Nolaso. Lackey has been very consistent going at least six inning in every game since June 10th. Quite a bounce back year for Lackey who has had to be the Red Sox ace due to injuries to Clay Buchholz. Ricky Nolasco is doing his best to earn a return to the Dodgers in 2014. He's already made eight starts for the Dodgers and is 4-1.

Saturday, 1:10 p.m. PT (Fox)

Cancer survivor Jon Lester against Dodger rookie of the year candidate Hyun-jin Ryu. Lester is not the dominant pitcher of 2008-2011 but he is still effective. His stats are pulled down by a terrible run in June.

Sunday, 5:05 p.m. PT (ESPN)

Jake Peavy against Chris Capuano. The Sunday Night ESPN game of the week pits the trade deadline acquisition Peavy against the struggling Capuano. Peavy has only made four starts for the Sox. One of those starts was awful, but the other three should be what they expect from him. About six innings, two - three runs, some Ks, few walks.
