The Dodgers announced an attendance of 52,326 for Tuesday's game against the Cubs, their 19th sellout of the season. It put them over the three million mark in attendance for the second straight season and for the 17th time in the last 18 seasons.
At 3,048,474 tickets sold for the season and 45,500 fans per game, the Dodgers lead Major League Baseball in attendance. If the Dodgers keep up that pace for their final 14 home dates of the regular season, they will have roughly 3.685 million, which would be their fourth highest total ever.
The Dodgers' franchise record for paid attendance is 3,857,036, set in 2007 and the sixth highest total in National League history.
The Dodgers reached three million tickets sold in their 67th home game, the earliest they have reached the milestone since 2008.
Before "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" was played during the seventh inning stretch the Dodgers announced the milestone on the video boards at Dodger Stadium while Dodgers players and coaches applauded the fans from the third base dugout.
The Dodgers are 39-28 at home this season.
