The Dodgers go for a sweep of the Diamondbacks on Wednesday night and will do so with several regulars getting a day off, the beneficiaries of a 13-game divisional lead with 18 games left to play.
Left-handed batters Andre Ethier and Carl Crawford get the night off against southpaw Patrick Corbin, with Skip Schumaker and Tuesday's hero Scott Van Slyke starting in center field and left field, respectively.
Monday's hero Juan Uribe gets the series finale off as well, as does second baseman Mark Ellis. Michael Young starts at third base, the first home start at Dodger Stadium for the Bishop Amat High School graduate. Nick Punto starts at second base for the Dodgers.
Tuffy Gosewisch, one of the greatest names in baseball, gets the start behind the plate for the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.
Hyun-jin Ryu makes his first start since Aug. 30 on Wednesday, looking for his 14th win of the season. Ryu has been especially good at Dodger Stadium, going 7-2 with a 2.07 ERA with 12 quality starts in 13 home outings this year.
