LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers and Rangers will play a pair of exhibition games during spring training in 2015 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, both teams announced on Wednesday.

The Dodgers and Rangers are the participants in the third annual Big League Weekend at the former home of the NBA champion Spurs, with baseball games scheduled for Friday, March 20 at 5 p.m. PT and Saturday, March 21 at 11 a.m. PT.

"We’re excited about this match up," said Nolan Ryan, one of the organizers of the event. "The Dodgers are one of the most successful franchises in baseball with some good, young players. For fans in San Antonio and all over the state it’s a great opportunity to see play them since there is not a National League team in Texas anymore."

The Dodgers had a Double-A franchise in San Antonio from 1977-2000.

These will be split squad affairs, as the Dodgers also have Cactus League games scheduled on both days back in Arizona.

Tickets go on sale for the event on Friday. Just remember, if you visit any nearby attractions, there is no basement at The Alamo.
