The Dodgers added second baseman Howie Kendrick, relief pitcher Chris Hatcher and a pair of minor leaguers in a three-team trade with the Marlins and Angels that saw Dee Gordon, Dan Haren, Miguel Rojas, cash, and a player to be named later or cash go to Miami with Andrew Heaney to Anaheim.
Dan Haren, who was traded by the Dodgers to Miami on Dec. 10, told the Marlins that his preference remains to pitch closer to home, for a team that has spring training in Arizona. This won't affect terms of the trade.
The Dodgers just keep acquiring players, reportedly adding second baseman Howie Kendrick from the Angels in exchange for pitcher Andrew Heaney, acquired himself in an earlier deal on Wednesday from the Marlins.
The Dodgers denied reports that they are trying to deal All-Star second baseman Dee Gordon, though the Marlins have expressed an interest. "He's our second baseman," said Dodgers general manager Farhan Zaidi.
