Dodgers on Fox, Fox Sports 1 six times in 2014

Kirby Lee-US PRESSWIRE

GLENDALE -- Fox on Thursday announced their schedule of regular season Major League Baseball games for 2014, and the Dodgers will appear on either Fox or Fox Sports 1 six times this season.

The new television contract with MLB, which runs through 2021, has some significant changes this year. First, Fox Sports 1 is prominently involved in the coverage. Second, the infuriating blackout rules have been eased somewhat in 2014 for Saturday games.

Subscribers to Extra Innings or MLB.tv will now be able to watch alternate Fox games on Saturdays, provided they aren't inside the blackout area for that game. For instance, Dodgers fans in Chicago will get the Nationals at Cubs game on Fox on June 28, but would be able to use either Extra Innings or MLB.tv to watch Cardinals at Dodgers, going on at the same time.

Dodgers games on Fox Sports 1 are not exclusive, and will also be televised by SportsNet LA.

Here is are the Dodgers games in 2014 either on Fox or Fox Sports 1 (all times PT):

  • Saturday, Apr. 5: vs. Giants, 1 p.m. (Fox Sports 1)
  • Saturday, Apr. 19: at Diamondbacks, 5 p.m. (Fox Sports 1)
  • Saturday, May 10: vs. Giants, 1 p.m. (Fox Sports 1)
  • Saturday, May 31: vs. Pirates, 4 p.m. (Fox)
  • Saturday, June 28: vs. Cardinals, 4 p.m. (Fox)
  • Saturday, July 19: at Cardinals, 1 p.m. (Fox Sports 1)

The Fox schedule for the final two Saturdays of the season (Sept. 20, Sept. 27) will be determined at a later date.
