SURPRISE -- Dodgers manager Don Mattingly won't manage the next two days after a death in the family, per Ken Gurnick of MLB.com. Mattingly left the team after Tuesday's win over the Rangers in Surprise.
In Mattingly's absence, the team will be managed by bench coach Tim Wallach, now in his fourth season on Mattingly's staff.
Mattingly will reportedly be back in time to manage Friday's game against the Cubs in Mesa.
