As the Dodgers go for the sweep of the Diamondbacks in Australia, the top of the order will look a bit different in the second game than in the opener. Dee Gordon starts at second base and bats leadoff for the Dodgers.
Gordon sat on Opening Day with the left-handed Wade Miley on the mound, giving the right-handed Justin Turner the start at second base. Gordon bats leadoff, with Yasiel Puig dropping down to second in the order.
MLB triple crown leader Scott Van Slyke, who homered and doubled against the left-handed Miley in the opener, takes a seat in the second game in favor of the left-handed Mike Baxter in left field against the right-handed Trevor Cahill.
The Dodgers did some shuffling with the order as well, moving Andre Ethier up from seventh to fifth and A.J. Ellis from eighth to sixth, with Juan Uribe dropping from sixth to eighth against Cahill.
The Diamondbacks made just one change to their lineup, with Didi Gregorius starting at shortstop one day after Chris Owings started the opener for Arizona. Gregorius is batting eighth for the Diamondbacks, with Gerardo Parra moving up one spot to seventh.
Both teams will look different on the field in the second game, as noted by Ken Gurnick of MLB.com:
