After missing a week with a strained right hamstring, Dodgers third baseman is back in the starting lineup on Friday night, batting seventh against the Diamondbacks at Chase Field.
Uribe is hitting .311/.343/.474 with 10 doubles and four home runs in 36 games this season. He injured his right hamstring while running out a double play on May 8 against the Giants, then missed the next five games. He did appear as a pinch hitter on Wednesday night against the Marlins, and he doubled and scored.
Scott Van Slyke, as he has for every game against a left-handed starting pitcher this season - tonight makes 11 games against southpaw starters for the Dodgers - starts in left field as the Dodgers go with the all right-handed outfield, including Matt Kemp in center field and Yasiel Puig in right field.
Van Slyke has enjoyed particular success against Wade Miley this season, going 4-for-6 with two home runs, two doubles and two walks against him in three games. Van Slyke has four extra-base hits and three RBI in eight plate appearances against Miley this season, and four extra-base hits and two RBI in 48 PA against everyone else.
