Dodgers vs. Pirates June 1 tilt added to ESPN Sunday Night Baseball schedule

The Dodgers will now be featured on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball at least four times this season.

USA TODAY Sports

LOS ANGELES -- ESPN on Friday announced a pair of matchups for Sunday Night Baseball, including the Dodgers hosting the Pirates on June 1 at Dodger Stadium.

The finale of a four-game series in Los Angeles will be a 5 p.m. PT start and televised exclusively by ESPN, called by Dan Shulman and John Kruk, with commentary from Buster Olney as well. This is the third time the Dodgers will play on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball this season.

The Dodgers were on the first two Sunday Night Baseball telecasts this season, losing to the Padres 3-1 on March 30 at Petco Park and beating the Giants 6-2 on April 6 at Dodger Stadium.

The Dodgers are also scheduled to be on Sunday Night Baseball on July 20 against the Cardinals in St. Louis.

The other game added to the Sunday Night Baseball schedule on Friday was the June 8 ALCS rematch between the Tigers and Red Sox in Detroit. The remaining June and July Sunday Night Baseball telecasts will be decided three weeks in advance, with August and September matchups picked two weeks in advance.

The Dodgers have beaten the Pirates nine straight times at Dodger Stadium and have won 17 of their last 19 meetings in Los Angeles.
