All four Dodgers affiliates lost on Tuesday, including three one-run defeats and a 2-0 contest.
Minor League Player of the Day
There wasn't much offense on Tuesday, but Class-A Rancho Cucamonga catcher Tyler Ogle was 2-for-2 with a walk, extending his hitting streak to five games, including four multi-hit contests. Ogle is 9-for-16 (.563) with three walks and a .632 on-base percentage during his streak.
Triple-A Albuquerque
Alex Liddi hit a two-run double in the second inning and later scored for a 3-0 lead, but the Isotopes lost 5-4 on the road to the Sacramento River Cats (Athletics). Joc Pederson was 1-for-3 with a walk. Mike Baxter was 0-for-4. Old friend Nick Buss, unlike those two outfielders currently on a 40-man roster, was 2-for-3 with a home run for Sacramento.
Double-A Chattanooga
The Lookouts managed just six hits in their 2-0 loss to the Birmingham Barons (White Sox), and third baseman Daniel Mayora had three of them, all singles. Jarret Martin struck out one in a scoreless inning of relief, and has allowed just one run in his last nine appearances, though the left-hander has 10 walks to go with his 12 strikeouts during that 8⅓-inning span.
Advanced Class-A Rancho Cucamonga
Second baseman Brandon Dixon and pitcher-turned-designated-hitter Aaron Miller each went 2-for-5 with a home run, but the Quakes lost 5-4 in Adelanto against the High Desert Mavericks (Mariners). Corey Seager, who won Cal League offensive player of the week honors, was given the day off.
Class-A Great Lakes
Right fielder Alex Santana was 1-for-4 in his first game back off the disabled list, but that was the Loons' only hit in a 3-2, 10-inning loss to the Lake County Captains (Indians). Santana's hit was a two-run double in the second inning that briefly gave Great Lakes a lead, but Lake County tied it in the bottom of the inning against Jonathan Martinez, who allowed two runs in six innings in a no-decision. The Loons had six walks as a team, including three from third baseman Paul Hoenecke.
Minor League Transactions
The Quakes added infielder Adam Law from Ogden in a paper move, and transferred outfielder Jeremy Rathjen to Ogden. ... Great Lakes activated Santana from the disabled list and transferred infielder Delvis Morales to Ogden.
