Minor League Player of the DayTom Windle (HiA) - 6 IP, 7 K's, 0 runs, 0 walks, 4 hits.  While his performance was overshadowed by a no-hitter, Winde threw very well on Wednesday.  The solid outing was a step in the right direction for Tom who had struggled over his last few starts.

AAA Albuquerque needed extra innings, but eventually downed the River Cats (A's) 4 to 3Trayvon Robinson's big night, which included a solo homer and a single, ended with him doubling in the eventual winning run in the 10th.  Miguel Rojas also homered and finished the game 2 for 5, while Mike Baxter went 2 for 4.  Joc Pederson had a quiet night as he went 0 for 4 with a walk.  On the mound Jeff Bennett tossed 6.2 innings and allowed 3 runs on 5 hits and 2 walks.  Paco Rodriguez threw a scoreless frame that included 2 K's, and Matt Magill picked up the win in relief.

AA – The Lookouts had just 4 hits on Wednesday in a 4 - 3 loss to the Barons (White Sox).  All three of the Chattanooga runs came in the 5th as the offense strung together a HBP, a single, an RBI fielders choice, and a two-run double by Darnell Sweeney.  The two-bagger extended Sweeney's hitting streak to 7 games during which time he is batting an impressive .556.  Chris O'Brien went 2 for 3 with a walk but his average for the season is just .225.  On the mound Chris Reed struck out 7 over 7.1 frames, allowing just 2 earned runs on 6 hits and a walk.  He left the game with the lead, but his bullpen couldn't quite hold on as Mike Thomas permitted a sacrifice fly that resulted in a blown save and Juan Gonzalez took the loss.

HiA – The Quakes were no-hit on the road on Wednesday as Tyler Pike and a couple of relievers for the Mavericks (Mariners) shut down Rancho 5 to 0.  The High Desert pitching staff issued 5 walks and hit Corey Seager with a pitch, but that was all they would allow on this night. Tom Windle almost matched Pike in his start as he tossed 6 scoreless innings and allowed just 4 hits.  Windle also struck out 7 in what was one of his best outings of the season.  Unfortunately Rob Rogers gave up 4 runs in relief to ruin the pitchers duel and picked up his second loss of the year.

LoA – The Loons were the third Dodger minor league affiliate to have a quiet offense night as Great Lakes fell to Lansing (Blue Jays) 2 to 1Dillon Moyer and Paul Hoenecke both doubled, but that was really the extent of the highlights at the plate for the Loons.  Starter Zachary Bird allowed both runs in his 5.2 innings of work, and while he only permitted 4 hits he walked 3 and had just 2 K's.  Michael Johnson threw well in relief as he recorded 4 of his 5 outs via the strikeout.

Coming upZach Lee highlights Thursday's action as he throws for the Isotopes while Andres Santiago takes the mound for the Lookouts.  Fabio Martinez gets the ball for the Quakes and finally Brandon Martinez will to the rubber for the Loons.

Minor League Transactions – AAA: With the promotion of Jamie Romak to the Dodgers, Jeremy Hazelbaker was assigned to Albuquerque from Chattanooga.  Also the newly acquired Johnny Monell was assigned to the Isotopes.  AA: Catcher Alberto Rosario was activated from the DL. HiA: Catcher Jose Capellan was assigned to the Quakes while Pratt Maynard was transferred to Ogden for the time being.
