Minor League Player of the DayBrandon Dixon (HiA) - 2 for 5, 1 HR, 1 2B ,4 RBI's.  While Dixon cooled down a bit last week, he has gotten hot again with 4 multi-hit games in his last 5 contests.  While his season stats are still a bit disappointing, he's miles ahead of where he was in April.

AAA – The Isotopes lost to Sacramento 6 - 5 on Thursday after Yimi Garcia allowed a walk off sacrifice fly in the 11th inning.  For Garcia it was his first loss of the year, though his ERA is still a solid 2.13.  Zach Lee got the start and allowed 4 hits, 5 walks, and 4 runs over 5.2 frames before being pulled.  Albuquerque still had the lead entering the 9th, however, but when Jose Dominguez tried to close the game he was unsuccessful, partially due to a throwing error by Carlos Triunfel.  At the plate Miguel Rojas went 2 for 5 with a homer and 2 runs scored, while Mike Baxter and Jeremey Hazelbaker had two hits each including a double.  Joc Pederson went 1 for 5 with a RBI.

AA – The Lookouts lost their 3rd straight game to the Barons (White Sox) on Thursday, falling to Birmingham 9 to 4.  Starter Andres Santiago had a nightmare of a game as he allowed 10 hits and 8 runs over 4.1 frames to lose his 4th game of the season.  Garrett Gould actually threw in relief and gave up the final run of the game over 2.2 innings, striking out 3.  At the plate Darnell Sweeney continued his hot hitting as he went 2 for 4, giving him 6 multi-hit games in his last 8 contests.  Scott Schebler also went 2 for 4, and his triple was the only extra base hit for the game for Chattanooga.

HiA – A couple of Quakes continued their hot hitting on Thursday to lead Rancho to a 10 - 7 victory over the Mavericks (Mariners).  One day after getting no-hit, both Brandon Dixon and Corey Seager homered and combined for 7 of the team's RBI's.  Adam Law also contributed by going 2 for 4 with a double, 2 RBI's, and 3 runs scored.  On the mound starter Fabio Martinez somehow managed to record the win despite walking 10 batters and allowing 4 runs.  Daniel Coulombe struggled to close out the game in the 9th, so Blake Smith came in to put out the fire and record his 7th save of the year.

LoA – The Loons snapped their mini two-game losing streak on Thursday by blanking the Lugnuts (Blue Jays) 3 to 0.  Four pitchers combined in the shutout, starting with Brandon Martinez who tossed 4 shutout innings and allowed just 3 hits.  Luis Chirinos and Victor Araujo followed with 2 clean innings each, and while Mark Pope walked 2 in the 9th, he did not permit a hit and picked up his 7th save.  The Great Lakes offense had just 5 hits themselves, but one of them was a solo homer by Josmar CorderoKyle Farmer's triple was the only other extra base knock, while Jesmuel Valentin went 1 for 4 with 2 stolen bases.

Coming up – All night road games on Friday, starting with Scott Barlow and the Loons playing at 4:05 PST.  Garrett Gould will not throw for the Lookouts at 5:05 even though he is the scheduled starter because he threw in relief on Thursday, Chris Anderson takes the mound for the Quakes at 6:30, and finally Sam Demel gets the ball for the Isotopes at 7:05.

Minor League Transactions – HiA: Luis Meza was activated from the DL while Rob Rogers was assigned to Ogden.  LoA: Kyle Hooper was assigned to the Loons while Jonathan Martinez was moved to the Ogden roster.
