LOS ANGELES -- ESPN has added the Dodgers' game against the Giants on July 27 in San Francisco to their Sunday Night Baseball schedule, the Dodgers announced on Wednesday.
The Sunday game is the finale of a three-game weekend series at AT&T Park, and will now begin at 5:07 p.m. PT. It will be the second consecutive Sunday Night Baseball telecast for the Dodgers, who will play the Cardinals in St. Louis on July 20, their first series after the All-Star break.
The Dodgers have been on Sunday Night Baseball this season three times, and have won once. They lost to the Padres in San Diego on March 30, beat the Giants in Los Angeles on April 6, and lost to the Pirates in L.A. on June 1.
The game on ESPN is good news for most of Los Angeles, the ones who don't have SportsNet LA but will be able to watch the game on ESPN, which holds exclusive broadcast rights on Sunday nights. The bad news is that the game in San Francisco would have normally been a game broadcast by Vin Scully, but now will not.
