Minor League Player of the Day – Rancho Cucamonga (HiA) - Chris Jacobs, 2-4, home run, a walk, four RBI. Jacobs has had an outstanding season improving his walks and cutting down his strikeouts and an .898 OPS.

AA – The Lookouts and Bay Bears (Diamondbacks) played into the 14th inning before the Bay Bears won 3-2. The teams were scheduled to play two seven-inning games but they played nearly that in the first game which pushed the make-up game to Sunday. Chris Reed pitched 6 innings, gave up two runs, five hits, two walks and struck out five. Daniel Coulombe, 2012 25th round draft pick, was recently assigned to the Lookouts from the Quakes, Coulombe struck out five in his two innings of work. Corey Seager tripled in the Lookouts first run and then scored the tying run. Seager also struck out four times and was 1 for 6 in his AA debut.
HiA – Despite taking a 4-0 lead, the Quakes saw the Blaze (Reds) come back and defeat them 10-7. Tom Windle had his third straight poor start, 4 innings, allowing six runs, eight hits, two walks and struck out three. Along with Chris Jacobs, Robbie Garvey and Aaron Miller also had two hits. James Baldwin also homered. The Quakes who started the second half with an 18-2 run has now lost 9 straight games.
LoA – The Loons bullpen recorded the final 15 outs and 14 of those were strikeouts as the Loons defeated the Cougars (Cubs) 4-2. Luis Chirinos started and went 4 innings, allowing one run and three hits. But it was the three relievers, Ralston Cash (2 IP, six strikeouts), Jacob Rhame (2 IP, five strikeouts), and Matt Campbell (1 IP, one run, two hits, two walks and three strikeouts) who blew away the Cougars on Saturday night. Paul Hoenecke provided the offense for the Loons with a three-run home run.
Rookie Ogden – Trailing 4-0, the Raptors scored 11 unanswered runs and then held on to defeat the Mustangs (Reds) 11-10. J.D. Underwood pitched 6 innings, he allowed four runs, five hits, two walks and struck out seven. Devan Ahart scored three runs, drove in three and went 3 for 4 with a triple; Cody Bellinger was 2 for 4, scored two runs and a walk; Julian Leon had two doubles, three RBI and two walks.
Rookie Arizona – Dodgers scored five runs in their last four innings but it wasn't enough has they lose 8-5 to the Rangers. Alex Guerrero went 1 for 4 with a double and he fielded cleanly his one chance at shortstop. Guerrero completed his seventh game in Arizona and appears to be back at least at the plate (.348/.414/.652) in 26 plate appearances. Alex Verdugo was 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI.
Transactions - AAA: Placed RHP Stephen Fife on the 7-day disabled list, activated RHP Steve Smith from the 7-day disabled list; HiA: 2B Casio Grider assigned to Quakes from Albuquerque Isotopes, placed SS Leo Rodriguez on the 7-day disabled list.
