Dodgers vs. Pirates scheduled starting pitchers

Here's a look at the starting pitching matchups as the Dodgers continue their road trip with three games against the Pirates at PNC Park in Pittsburgh. The Dodgers are 32-16 all-time at PNC Park, though they have lost three of their last four games in Pittsburgh.

Monday, 4:05 p.m. PT (SportsNet LA)

Hyun-Jin Ryu is coming off a great bounce-back start with 10 strikeouts in six scoreless innings on July 13 against San Diego. He starts on seven days rest in the opener, and is 15-5 with a 2.64 ERA in 24 starts with more than four days rest in his career. Old friend Edinson Volquez has been great in his last four starts, allowing three runs for a 0.90 ERA, with 18 strikeouts and nine walks in 30 innings.

Tuesday, 4:05 p.m. PT (SportsNet LA)

Josh Beckett is expected to return from his hip impingement after missing just one start, and will enter play on Tuesday in fourth place in the National League with a 2.26 ERA. Vance Worley has a 3.03 ERA in his five starts for the Pirates, and has lasted 6⅔ innings or longer in four of his five starts.

Wednesday, 4:05 p.m. PT (SportsNet LA)

Dan Haren has lost all three July starts, with 15 runs allowed in 14 innings, including four home runs. Since missing a month with a strained oblique, Francisco Liriano has allowed four runs (three earned) in nine innings, with nine walks and 12 strikeouts.
