Minor League Player of the DayJose De Leon (Rookie Ogden) - 6 IP, 9 K's. De Leon punched out 9 over just 6 innings of work to provide Jose the player of the day honors.

AAA – The Isotopes matched the Chihuahuas with 11 hits, but El Paso (Padres) still beat Albuquerque 7 to 6 onThursday.  Starter Stephen Fife gave up 10 hits and 6 runs over 4.2 frames, but a quartet of relievers were solid out of the bullpen including a scoreless inning from Scott ElbertPaco Rodriguez gave up a run in the 7th, however, and that resulted in a loss for the former Dodger setup man.  At the dish, newcomer Delvis Morales went 3 for 3 with a double and scored 2 runs. Jamie Romak and Walter Ibarra had two hits each in the loss.

AA – The Lookouts scored two runs in the 1st, but would never cross the plate again in a 7 - 2 loss to the Barons (White Sox)Daniel Mayora and O'Koyea Dickson were responsible for Chattanooga's early runs with a single and a double, respectively, but outside of a Scott Schebler triple that as it for the offensive highlights.  Starter Raydel Sanchez got lit up for 10 hits and 7 runs over 5.1 frames which increased his ERA to 6.06.  After he left the game, however, the Lookouts bullpen threw very well as Mike Thomas tossed 1.2 innings of 1-hit ball and Blake Smith struck out a couple of batters in the 9th.

HiA – The Quakes outlasted the Mavericks (Mariners) 9 to 7 thanks to several early runs.  Rancho plated 5 of their runs in the 1st 4 frames, then scored 4 more runs over the next 4 innings to collect the victory.  Starter Chris Anderson permitted 6 hits and 4 runs in the win, and while he punched out 7 he also gave up 4 runs.  Rob Rogers got the save in relief thanks to a perfect 9th.  At the dish Aaron Miller went 3 for 5 with a double and 1 RBI, while Corey Seager connected on a homer and drove in a couple of runs.

LoA – The Silver Hawks (Dbacks) outlasted the Loons 4 to 3 in 10 innings on Thursday.  The Great Lakes offense actually had just 3 hits in this game, and all 3 of their runs came in the 2nd inning on a throwing error and a 2-run single by Jose Capellan.  Starter Scott Barlow also gave up just 3 hits in his 5 innings of work, but he also permitted 3 runs despite striking out 6.  A trio of relievers held South Bend to just 1 hit over the next 4 frames, but Victor Araujo gave up the eventual winning run in the top of the 10th to take the loss.

Rookie Ogden – The Raptors lost another game on Thursday as Ogden fell to Idaho Falls (Royals) 5 to 3.  Starter Jose De Leon struck out 9 over 6 frames, however he also gave up 3 runs on 7 hits.  Brock Stewart took the loss in relief after he gave up a pair of runs in the 7th inning.  At the dish Colin Hering went 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored, while Justin Chigbogu slugged his 3rd homer of the year and hit his 2nd in as many days.

DSL – The Dominican Dodgers got pounded by the Astros 11 - 3 on Thursday.  Starter MigueAl Urena, who had been solid all season, had his worst start of the year as he allowed 6 hits and 3 runs over 4 frames.  Unfortunately his bullpen wasn't much better as a trio of Dodgers gave up the final 8 runs of the game, although 3 of those runs were unearned thanks to a Dodger error.  At the dish Shakir Albert went 2 for 3 with a double and a RBI, but that was it for the Dodger extra base hits.  Manuel Peguero also had a couple of hits and drove in a run in the losing effort.
