The phrase "Clayton Kershaw does it all" gets overused at times, but in the bottom of the fifth inning against the Brewers on Sunday the Dodgers ace added to his highlight reel.
With Rickie Weeks on third base and one out down 2-1, the Brewers tried a squeeze play to tie the game but Jean Segura bunted foul. With one strike Milwaukee tried again, only this time Segura's bunt was popped up straight in the air near home plate. Kershaw came rushing in and made an outstanding diving catch, then threw to third base to end the inning.
"Clayton Edward Kershaw," exclaimed Charley Steiner on the SportsNet LA broadcast. "All he does is everything."
The play was reminiscent of this play Kershaw made against the Diamondbacks in 2012.
