Minor League Player of the Day – Zach Lee (AAA) - 6 IP, 5 hits, 2 runs, 5 K's, 2 for 3, 2 RBI's. Lee hasn't pitched all that well as of late, but on Monday he but together a solid performance on the mound and at the plate. The right hander allowed 2 runs, which were his lowest total in over a month, and struck out 5.
AAA – The Isotopes scored early and often as they defeated the 51's (Mets) 8 to 2. Alex Guerrero drove in a team high 3 runs with a double and a triple, while Jamie Romak was 3 for 4 with a couple of two-baggers. Tim Federowicz also had a couple of hits including his 12th homer of the season. Speaking of offense, starting pitcher Zach Lee went 2 for 3 with a couple of RBI's as he boosted his season average to .273. He also won his first game since June 19th after allowing just 5 hits and 2 runs over 6 innings of work. He struck out 5 and walked 2. Red Patterson actually threw 3 innings of scoreless relief to record the long save, his 1st of the season.

Rookie Arizona – The Arizona Dodgers managed just three hits in a 2 - 1 loss to the Indians. All three base knocks were singles, and two of them came from Alex Verdugo who increased his season average to .328. Starter Kevin Guzman took the loss despite allowing just 2 runs over 5 frames. Reliever Bubby Rossman struck out 3 over 2 scoreless frames to provide the highlight out of the bullpen.
DSL – The Dominican Dodgers walked off against the Royals on Monday with a 4 to 3 win in 12 innings. Shortstop Moises Perez was a bit of a one man show in this one as he doubled in the tying run in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs and the game on the line, then singled to lead off the bottom of the 12th. After Perez was sacrificed over to 2nd, he took it upon himself to steal 3rd base which forced a throwing error by the catcher and allowed Moises to race home for the winning run. Shakir Albert had the only other multi-hit game, while Johan Mieses' 8th triple of the season actually turned into an inside the park homer when he scored on a throwing error. On the mound starter Gregor Mora threw well as he allowed just 1 run in 4 innings. Edward Perez picked up the win in relief after he gave up just 1 hit over 3 frames.
Coming up – Everyone is back in action on Tuesday, starting with Zachary Bird and the Loons playing at 4:05 PT. Andres Santiago will try to extend the Lookouts winning streak at 4:15, Drew Carpenter will take the mound for the Isotopes at 5:35, J.D. Underwood will get the ball for the Raptors at 6:05, and Chris Anderson will throw for the Quakes at 7:05.
