Dee Gordon sits, Yasiel Puig bats leadoff for Dodgers vs. Giants

SAN FRANCISCO -- The Dodgers will open their three-game weekend series against the Giants, and Dee Gordon will sit against the left-handed Madison Bumgarner.

Justin Turner gets the start at second base, batting second.

Batting leadoff is Yasiel Puig, who has a pair of solo home runs against Bumgarner, and is 5-for-18 (.278) against him.

Scott Van Slyke makes his 36th start against 37 left-handed starting pitchers this season, playing left field.

Hunter Pence has had the most success against Hyun-Jin Ryu, hitting .429/.478/.524, 9-for-24 with two doubles and two walks. Angel Pagan is 5-for-9 (.556) against Ryu, and Buster Posey is 5-for-21 (.238) with two doubles, a home run and three walks.

Joaquin Arias is 3-for-8 (.375) with a walk against Ryu and gets the start at first base, with Posey behind the plate. The left-handed Brandon Crawford, 1-for-12 (.083) with a walk against Ryu, starts at shortstop.
