LOS ANGELES -- It took 26 weeks into the 27-week season, but all fans in Los Angeles will finally be able to watch Dodgers games. Time Warner has reached a deal with local station KDOC to carry the final six games of the regular season next week, the Dodgers announced on Monday.
The Dodgers end their regular season with a six-game homestand, with three games Sep. 22-24 against the Giants and three games against the Rockies from Sep. 26-28.
The Dodgers hold a three-game lead over San Francisco in the National League West, and with a magic number of 11 if there were a most likely time for the club to clinch the division it would be next week at home.
"Right now, we can’t change the fact that other area TV distributors won’t carry the channel, but we don’t want anyone to miss this exciting pennant run," Time Warner COO Dinni Jain said in a release. "We hope everyone will tune in to KDOC and help us cheer on the Dodgers. We will continue to work on long-term agreements with other providers in the off season."
