Chase Utley will be available to the Dodgers for at least the remainder of the National League Division Series against the Mets, and potentially for the first two games of the NLCS too, should they advance. Per multiple reports, Utley's appeal hearing for his two-game suspension for sliding into Ruben Tejada during Game 2 on Saturday night will be held next Monday, Oct. 19.

The National League Championship Series begins with Game 1 on Saturday and Game 2 on Sunday, with Monday a travel day for the series.
Clayton Kershaw offered his opinion of Utley's suspension on Monday.
"My stance on it is, you know, either change the rule or, you know, let it happen. I don't think you can be on the fence. I feel like MLB got, you know, maybe a little bit bullied into suspending him," Kershaw said. "Never happened before. I've seen slides a lot worse."
