LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers will finish out the regular season with Jimmy Rollins as acting manager and Kenley Jansen as the pitching coach. Manager Don Mattingly said that Rollins told him he is not wearing his uniform out to the field today.
In terms of the upcoming four days before the Divisional Series start on Friday, Mattingly said that "tomorrow [Monday] is off and then they will work out the three days after that." Yasiel Puig and Scott Van Slyke will be among the players taking live batting practice on Tuesday.
One decision Rollins won't make today is how long Clayton Kershaw will pitch. Kershaw will throw "50, 60 pitches," Mattingly said, this start "more driven by [Kershaw], knowing that we don't want go deep."
Infielder Jose Peraza had a setback earlier this week and has been "taken off the fast track for now," Mattingly said, "but could be a possibility" as the team advances in the playoffs.
