Pedro Guerrero hospitalized in intensive care

Former Dodgers star Pedro Guerrero was placed in intensive care at the center for advance diagnostics and medicine in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, possibly suffering a stroke, per multiple reports.

Guerrero reportedly lost mobility at his home and was taken to the hospital by his wife on Sunday. He temporarily lost the use of his left arm but has since recovered, per DiarioLibre.com.

Reports have Guerrero in intensive care with test results that show bleeding in his brain. Though Guerrero's wife Roxanna said Monday that Guerrero was animated in conversations with doctors and even asked for food.

Guerrero, 58, is expected to undergo more tests and will be evaluated by neurosurgeons.

UPDATE: Guerrero on Monday afternoon was updated to stable condition, per Hector Gomez of Z101.

Guerrero hasn't been around the Dodgers much in recent years, though he did take part in the 2013 old timers game at Dodger Stadium.
